May 5 (Reuters) - Technology services provider Calian Technologies Ltd CTY.TO posted a 40 percent fall in quarterly profit, hurt by a sharp drop in revenue from its systems engineering division.
For the quarter ended March 31, net income was C$3.1 million ($3.03 million), or 40 Canadian cents per share, compared with C$5.2 million, or 67 Canadian cents per share, a year ago.
Revenue fell 11 percent to C$53.1 million. Systems engineering revenue fell 25 percent to C$15.7 million.
For 2010, the company expects earnings per share of C$1.50 to C$1.80, on revenue of C$205 million to C$225 million.
