UPDATE 1- Consolidated Thompson doubles Bloom Lake output view

* Sees Bloom Lake output at 16 mln tonnes

* Sees production starting from Q3 of 2012

* Sees additional capex of $525 mln

May 19 (Reuters) - Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines Ltd CLM.TO doubled production forecast for its Bloom Lake iron ore project to 16 million tonnes of concentrate a year.

The company, which expects to start expansion at the northern Quebec-based project in the third quarter of 2010, said the work will take two years.

It sees total capital expenditure of $525 million.

Shares of the company closed at C$7.41 Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by R. Manikandan in Bangalore; Editing by Don Sebastian)
