June 8 (Reuters) - Software and services provider MKS Inc MKX.TO reported a more-than-four-fold rise in quarterly profit, helped by revenue growth across segments, and raised its quarterly cash dividend by 17 percent.
For the fourth quarter ended April 30, the company reported net income of $8.5 million, or 83 cents a share, compared with $2 million, or 20 cents a share.
Revenue rose 26.5 percent to $17.2 million.
License revenue rose 67.5 percent to $6.7 million, service revenue rose 18 percent to $3.2 million and maintenance revenue rose 6 percent to $7.3 million.
MKS raised its quarterly cash dividend to 17.5 cents, from 15 cents a share, payable on July 15 to shareholders of record June 30.
