June 29 (Reuters) - Canada’s EXFO Inc EXF.TO (EXFO.O), which provides services for the telecommunications industry, posted a quarterly net profit as sales rose across its segments.
The company also forecast fourth-quarter results to range between a loss of 1 cent to earnings of 3 cents a share, on revenue of $61 million to $66 million.
For the third quarter ended May 31, the company reported net earnings of $169,000, or break-even on a per share basis, compared with a loss of $23.3 million, or 39 cents a share, last year.
Sales rose 45 percent to $63.2 million.
The company’s telecom division sales rose 43 percent to 55.9 million, while sales in the life sciences and industrial division rose 59 percent.
Shares of the company closed at C$5.50 Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Its Nasdaq listed shares closed at $5.30.
