Sept 7 (Reuters) - Some small and midcap stocks on the move on Tuesday:

RESCARE INC RSCR.O, $13.19, up 6 percent

The company said it agreed to be acquired by Canadian private equity firm Onex Corp OCX.TO in a cash deal that values the U.S. provider of home care to the elderly and disabled at $390 million, after Onex sweetened its initial bid by 65 cents a share. [ID:nSGE6860G8]

ENTERPRISE GP HOLDINGS (EPE.N), $56.00, up 12 percent

Midstream energy services provider Enterprise Products Partners LP (EPD.N) said it would buy Enterprise GP for about $8.03 billion to reduce its capital costs and simplify its partnership structure. [ID:nSGE6860G9]

BIOVAIL CORP BVF.N, $25.85, up 7.8 percent

U.S.-based Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (VRX.N), which agreed to be bought by Canada’s Biovail in June, said they would cut about 25 percent of the combined company’s U.S. and Canadian workforce as part of the integration plans. [ID:nSGE6860HW]

GT SOLAR INTERNATIONAL INC SOLR.O, $8.14, down 7 percent

VERIGY LTD VRGY.O, $8.21, down 6 percent

LINCOLN NATIONAL CORP (LNC.N), $24.53, down 6 percent

The U.S. Treasury Department said on Tuesday it plans to auction warrants in The Harford Financial Services Group Inc (HIG.N) and Lincoln National over the next several weeks, its remaining holdings in the firms. [ID:nN07215114]

IDENIX PHARMACEUTICALS IDIX.O, $3.27, down 45 percent

The drugmaker said it received a verbal notice from U.S. regulators that two of its experimental hepatitis C treatments have been put on clinical hold due to safety issues. [ID:nSGE6860G7]

CHINA SKY ONE MEDICAL INC CSKI.O, $7.05, down 27 percent

The company said several of its private distributors terminated their contracts, claiming information disclosed in its U.S. regulatory filings attracted increased scrutiny from Chinese authorities, prompting the company to slash its outlook. [ID:nSGE6820I6]
