Feb 8 (Reuters) - Intellectual property firm Gennum Corp’s GND.TO quarterly earnings jumped 44 percent, helped by revenue from new products and the recovering economy.
The company, which also designs semiconductor products for the broadcast industry, said it expects to achieve better-than-industry revenue growth for this year.
Fourth-quarter earnings were $5.2 million, or 15 cents a share, up from $3.6 million, or 10 cents a share, a year ago.
Revenue rose 33 percent to $33.3 million.
Analysts on average had expected the company to earn 14 cents a share, on revenue of $34 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
