Feb 14 (Reuters) - School bus transportation services provider Student Transportation Inc’s quarterly profit more than doubled, as it was hit by a non-cash charge last year.
Second-quarter net income rose to $3.1 million, or 5 cents per share, from $1.3 million, 2 cents per share, last year.
Last year, the company had incurred a $3.6 million non-cash loss on extinguishment of debt.
Revenue rose 9 percent to $81.3 million.
