Feb 16 (Reuters) - Canada’s Winpak Ltd , maker of packaging materials and machines, posted a higher fourth-quarter profit on higher demand for its products.
For the quarter ended Dec. 26, the company reported net income of $14.1 million, or 22 cents per share, compared with $11.4 million, or 18 cents per share, last year.
Sales rose 14 percent to $154.9 million.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba-based company’s shares closed at C$12.85 on Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Amruta Sabnis in Bangalore; Editing by Roshni Menon)
