Uranium One takes loss amid lower volumes

(In U.S. dollars)

TORONTO, May 14 (Reuters) - Uranium producer Uranium One Inc UUU.TO swung to a first-quarter loss as it saw lower sales volumes and booked an impairment provision, the company said late on Wednesday.

The company said it lost $114.9 million, or 24 cents per share, in the three months ended March 31. That was down from a profit of $8 million, or 4 cents per share, in the same period a year earlier. (Reporting by Wojtek Dabrowski; editing by Rob Wilson)
