Lundin Mining first-quarter profit rises 51 pct

TORONTO, May 15 (Reuters) - Lundin Mining (LUN.TO) said on Thursday its first-quarter profit rose 51 percent, as copper prices strengthened, while acquisitions made last year added to production.

Lundin earned $78.8 million, or 20 cents a share for the quarter, up from $52.1 million, or 18 cents a share, in the year-before period. (Reporting by Cameron French; Editing by Scott Anderson)
