TORONTO, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Shaw Communications Inc (SJRb.TO) reported a higher first-quarter profit on Friday and said it is reviewing advanced wireless spectrum auction rules, as an increase in cable subscribers helped results.
Shaw, Canada’s No. 2 cable and satellite TV company, said it earned C$112 million, or 26 Canadian cents per share, in the three months ended Nov. 30. That was up from a profit of C$81 million, or 19 Canadian cents per share, in the same period a year earlier.
