Cameco fourth-quarter profit jumps 52.5 percent

OTTAWA (Reuters) - Cameco Corp CCO.TO said on Wednesday that fourth-quarter net profit popped 52.5 percent higher despite a dip in revenue as it reported improved earnings in its uranium, electricity and gold businesses.

The world’s top uranium producer said it earned C$61 million, or 17 Canadian cents per share, up from C$40 million, or 11 Canadian cents per share, in the year-before quarter.
