Saputo profit up 28 pct on tax cut, revenue rise

OTTAWA, Feb 6 (Reuters) - Canadian cheese maker Saputo Inc (SAP.TO) said on Wednesday its third-quarter profit rose 28 percent, boosted by a big one-time tax reduction and 25 percent increase in revenue.

    The company, one of North America’s largest cheese makers, said it earned C$82 million, or 39 Canadian cents per diluted share, in the period. That compares to earnings of C$64.1 million, or 31 Canadian cents a share, a year earlier.
