VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 30 (Reuters) - West Fraser Timber Co Ltd. (WFT.TO) reported a small second-quarter profit on Wednesday, but credited an accounting change on its inventory, not an improvement in lumber market conditions.
The company reported a net profit of C$3 million, or 8 Canadian cents a share. That compared with a loss of C$14 million, or 33 Canadian cents a share, a year ago.
Sales were C$823 million, compared with C$948 million, it said. (Reporting Allan Dowd, editing by Rob Wilson)
