TORONTO, Dec 13 (Reuters) - MDS Inc MDS.TO reported a lower fourth-quarter profit on Thursday hurt by the falling U.S. dollar and said a shutdown of a nuclear reactor that makes more than half of the world’s supply of medical isotopes could hurt future results.
The Canadian health sciences company said it earned $15 million, or 13 cents per share, for the period ended Oct. 31, down from $47 million, or 33 cents a share, for the same time last year.
