Vonn wins downhill for sixth time in Lake Louise

LAKE LOUISE, Alberta (Reuters) - American Lindsey Vonn continued to reign supreme in the Canadian Rockies by rocketing to her sixth World Cup downhill win in as many years at Lake Louise on Friday.

Charging through a steady snowfall that forced officials to lower the start, Vonn clocked a winning time of one minute, 26.13 seconds, crossing more than 1/2 a second clear of her nearest challenger Emily Brydon of Canada.

Germany’s Maria Riesch was third.
