French presidential candidate Fillon holds talks with Germany's Merkel: spokesman

PARIS (Reuters) - Francois Fillon, the conservative candidate currently seen as most likely to win next year’s French Presidential election, met German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Brussels on Thursday for bilateral talks, his spokesman Thierry Solere said.

They met on the sidelines of a meeting of center-right European party leaders in Brussels and ahead of a European leaders summit in the Belgian capital.
