China asks airlines to reduce international flights due to epidemic

SHANGHAI (Reuters) - China aviation regulator said on Thursday it had asked airlines to reduce capacity on international flights not add to them, as part of efforts to battle the coronavirus epidemic.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China said it had issued a notice to airlines on March 12 making the request and said it required them to apply for an advance flight plan.
