Eight lawmakers invited to Russia bounty briefing - White House

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House said on Monday it has invited eight members of Congress for a briefing on intelligence reports that Russia offered bounties to Taliban militants to kill U.S. soldiers.

Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said he would be briefing eight members “from the committees of jurisdiction” and there was a bipartisan invitation extended for a briefing Monday, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany told reporters.
