VILNIUS (Reuters) - Belarusian opposition politician Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya said on Friday she would return to Belarus from Lithuania where she fled during a crackdown after Belarus’s disputed election when she felt it was safe to do.

At a news conference in Lithuania, Tsikhanouskaya said the people of Belarus wanted a new election to be held that would be free and fair.
