Obama discusses U.S. partnership with Afghan leaders: White House

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama talked with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah on Wednesday about ways to strengthen Afghan forces and offered support for the Afghan-led peace process with the Taliban, the White House said.

“The President also praised the Afghan security forces’ performance during the current fighting season,” the White House said.
