China says hopes for peace on Korean peninsula

BEIJING (Reuters) - China’s Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday it hoped “relevant parties” could do more to ensure peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.

Ministry spokesman Hong Lei made the comments at a daily news briefing after North Korea said it was working to improve its nuclear weapons “in quality and quantity”.
