Prisoners escape main jail in Central African Republic capital

BANGUI (Reuters) - All the prisoners escaped from the main jail in the capital of Central African Republic on Monday, a senior security source said, in a city where at least 30 people have been killed in three days of violence.

“There is no one in the prison. They have all left,” according to a senior gendarmerie source, referring to the Ngaraba jail. He gave no details of the escape.
