Russia's Putin phones Iran's Rouhani ahead of gas summit

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has phoned Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to discuss bilateral ties, the Kremlin said on Friday.

The two leaders agreed to continue dialogue during Putin's planned visit to Tehran on Nov. 23 for a summit of gas exporting countries, the Kremlin said in a statement.
