Russia says 40 agreements signed on ceasefire in Syria: agencies

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia’s defense ministry said on Wednesday a total of 40 agreements had been signed on a tentative ceasefire in Syria and talks with other groups were ongoing, Russian news agencies reported.

“With the mediation of the Russian Federation, negotiations are continuing with the leaders of 11 more armed groups,” RIA news agency quoted the ministry as saying.
