MOSCOW (Reuters) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation inside and around Belarus during a phone call, Interfax news agency reported on Saturday, citing Belarusian local media.

Lukashenko had said earlier on Saturday he wanted to speak to Putin, warning that street protests in Minsk were not just a threat to his country.
